Since some time I can't use Cyberlink Screen Recorder 4 (included in Power Director 365) anymore.
I can start the program but it freezes and I need to stop it in the Task Manager.

As suggested by Cyberlink I tried to run the program with the auto startup of Kaspersky disabled and it worked fine.

As soon as I start Kaspersky Plus, the issue is back and I can't run Screen Recorder. PowerDirector works fine but screen recorder freezes after starting it.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to solve this?

Please provide version of KPlus and operating system installed.

Kaspersky Plus version : 21.36.6.614(a)

Operating system : Windows 11 Pro x64 Build 26200

Here's a link for the free "Essentials" version but I use the version that comes with Cyberlink PowerDirector365, so I'm not sure the issue will also exist in the free version.

Check if in Intrusion Prevention -> Manage Applications, there are any Cyberlink app / exe / service in restricted group.

I checked and there are no Cyberlink apps in the restricted group, in fact there aren't any apps in the restricted group.

I installed from that link, of course it is the Free version, but no issues here recording with KPremium 21.23 + W11 25H2.

Strange. I will uninstall it and install the free version to check if it has the same issue on my PC.
I will let you know the outcome but it will be later today as I have to leave right now and I won't be back until this evening (I'm located in Belgium, it's 1:20 pm here right now).

I uninstalled Screen Recorder 4 completely, including my settings. After rebooting I installed the free version but I still have the same issue.

Next I installed the free version on my laptop that still has Windows 10 on it with the same version of Kaspersky Plus as on my desktop that has the problem. On my laptop the screen recorder works fine.

I'm going to do a bit more testing by disabling some startup programs on my desktop. I will keep you informed.

The problem is still not solved.
The Cyberlink screen recorder works fine when Kaspersky Plus is completely turned off but freezes when Kaspersky Plus is switched on but only on my Windows 11 Desktop PC. The problem does not occur on my Windows 10 laptop with the same version of Kaspersky Plus.

I think I will use another screen recorder on my desktop PC. There's one included in Windows 11 and I will check if that one is OK for making tutorial videos.

There is a new version 21.24 of KPlus, have You tried it?
