Since I reloaded windows 10 on my computer the Kaspersky Password icon does not appear on the right of the login screen when I login to a website.  It also don't popup and ask to save the login credentials when I create a new login or change a password.

How do I get that to work as it did on my previous windows installation.

Hello @Ina van Rooyen

Welcome!

  1. Are both problems happening in every supported browser, read: Supported browsers?
  2. Check the KPM extension version number - it should be 24.2.57.2
  3. In the browsers (you) use, are they *also* setup & active with password managers, autofill etc, for example: Google Password Manager?
  4. Have any *new* extensions been installed in the browsers, apart from KPM & (your) Kaspersky AV?
  5. In KPM, Settings, General, check IF Autosave and autofill are enabled - see first image below?
  6. Is "the KPM icon does not appear on the right of the login screen when I login to a website" - happening for every website saved in the KPM vault OR only some - IF it's only some, check IF Autologin is enabled for the sites that aren't working - see second image below?

Hello @Ina van Rooyen

It sounds like the Kaspersky Password Manager integration isn’t functioning correctly after your Windows 10 reinstallation.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and hopefully you can restore its functionality:

1. Check Kaspersky Password Manager Installation

  • Make sure that Kaspersky Password Manager is installed and running. You can check this in the Kaspersky application:
    • Open Kaspersky.
    • Go to More Tools or Additional Tools (the option may vary).
    • Look for Kaspersky Password Manager and ensure it is activated.

2. Enable Browser Integration

  • Ensure that the browser integration for Kaspersky Password Manager is enabled:
    • Open Kaspersky and go to Settings.
    • Navigate to Protection or Additional.
    • Find Browser Integration and make sure it is enabled for the browsers you are using (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).

3. Reinstall Browser Extension

  • Sometimes, the browser extension for Kaspersky might not be installed or needs to be reinstalled:
    • Open the browser you want to use (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
    • Go to the extensions or add-ons section.
    • Search for Kaspersky Password Manager and ensure it is installed.
    • If it’s already installed, try removing it and then reinstalling the extension.

4. Check Browser Settings

  • Make sure your browser settings allow extensions and pop-ups:
    • Check that pop-ups are allowed for the Kaspersky extension.
    • Ensure that the Kaspersky extension is not disabled in the browser.

5. Clear Cache and Cookies

  • Sometimes, cached data can cause issues:
    • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
    • Restart the browser and check if the Kaspersky Password Manager starts working.

6. Windows Security Settings

  • Check Windows security settings to ensure they’re not blocking Kaspersky:
    • Go to Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security.
    • Click on Virus & threat protection and ensure Kaspersky isn’t being flagged or blocked.

7. Update Kaspersky Software

  • Make sure your Kaspersky software is up to date:
    • Open Kaspersky.
    • Go to Update and check for any available updates.

8. Restart Your Computer

  • After making these changes, restart your computer to ensure all settings take effect.

9. Check for Conflicts

  • If you have other password managers or security software installed, they might conflict with Kaspersky Password Manager. Consider disabling or uninstalling them temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.

If you’ve tried all these steps and the issue persists, consider reinstalling Kaspersky Password Manager or reaching out to Kaspersky Technical support for further assistance.

Thank you
