Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows 12.4.0.467 Outlook add-in errors

Hello!

We've just started upgrading our endpoint security softwares from 12.3 to 12.4 version, and it seems to cause problems to our users who are still using Office 2016.

The Kaspersky outlook add-in slows, and crashes the mail client. We've managed to find a workaround simply by disabling the outlook add-in.

Is there a more viable solution, to solve this problem?

In your case, this behavior is most likely connected not with the version of Office, but with its bit capacity.

This add-on to Outlook is not officially supported when running in the x64 version of Office.

 

You can disable the use of this add-on in the KES policy in the "Mail Protection" section

So in the Office Add-ins of the Outlook component

Curious, we didn't have any problems with the Outlook add in, when we were using the 12.3 version of the Endpoint Security. The problem is not present on clients using M365 even if they are using the x64 version.
