Kaspersky Endpoint Security Database not auto Update (Error_0x85DC001E)

Hi,

We have a user with 2 production servers installed with Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.10.0.399.
Both of the server unable to auto update due to having multiple Update Task in the KES setting. (refer image 1)

(refer image 1), The 3rd Update Task which is the auto update (schedule every 1 hour) unable to run.
Only can click the first Update Task with is the Manual Update.

(refer image 2), This is the last time the KES database was updated which is on 22/9/2022 where we asked the user to reinstall the KES for second time.

(refer image 3 & 4) This is the update task failed log. Error_0x85DC001E.

(image 5) Already run klcsngtgui.exe and send heartbeat connect to the database server.

We have logged this case multiple times to Kaspersky Support but all their answers is get the GSI log and then reinstall the KES.
The reinstallation is done by the user as he is the PIC and cannot simply restart the production server.

Note: I have a PC installed with KES and I only have 1 Update Task in the setting. (image 6)
How can these 2 servers have 3 Update Task and hope you guys have any solution.

Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Image1 shows that you are using KESCloud. Please check the security profile there and deactivate the usage of local tasks. That should "delete" the additional tasks and only your group task will stay active.

-> That might be because you are using different security profiles with different settings?

Hi Thomas Becker,

Thank you for your suggestion. We have tried your method along with installing patch PF9948 provided by Kaspersky Support.
As per check, both servers' Kaspersky databases got auto-update today.

Thank you.
