Kaspersky Crashes "explorer.exe" [Urgent]

Hi.

I don't know if it's after the last update, but now when I right-click on a file or an application in the taskbar, "explorer.exe" crashes... When I check the Event Viewer, the problem seems to be caused by Kaspersky.

Thank you. This problem did not occur after I uninstalled Kaspersky. I hope it will be fix soon.

Still not resolved, we are waiting for an urgent fix...

I've the same problem (Win11 home, Kaspersky plus). If I search an App via the search-desktopfield, it crashes always, when I start it as an Admin.

The problem occurs with Kaspersky Antivirus and Endpoint Security (12.10).

It can be solved by unregistering Kaspersky from context menu of Windows Explorer i.e. :

regsvr32 /u ...Kaspersky path ... \x64\shellex.dll

regsvr32 /u ...Kaspersky path ... \shellex.dll

This problem is very annoying and needs a VERY URGENT fix ...

  • The Kaspersky expert team/developers are working on bug 8903377 with high priority.

I did open a ticket by the technical support as I am an IT professional. I also sent logs, traces and memory dumps from tests with Kaspersky Standard and Kaspersky Endpoint Security. Waiting impatiently for a fix as my customers become angry ...

As soon as Kaspersky has information it will be shared; the Kaspersky expert team/developers are working hard to resolve the bug.
