Kaspersky AV / Comodo Firewall

Dear support/helpers,

I use Comodo FW (free version) without AV, and Kaspersky AV (paid version).

OK I’ll see that there is incompatibility between KAV and CFW, but it was working well together.

Since ??? the KAV interface didn’t start anymore. So I uninstall KAV and reinstall it. The GUI was working … until next reboot!

So what’s happened?

So Comodo is a nice FW and KAV a good AV, so how can I solve the problem?

I tried to find a compatibility matrix between KAV and FWs, but, I only found a non-compatibility matrix. So does it exists such list (of free FW with advanced options working with KAV) ?

or

How can I install both products together?

or

The last option will be to suppress KAV to find an AV compatible with Comodo

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

I know users used them both without issues in the past, and the trick was installing 1st KAV, and then Comodo FW...

Don’t know why, I responded … but message disappeared …

So I tested some options: I uninstall everything, and install first Kaspersky AV. No problem

Then install Comodo firewall : no problem until comodo request to reboot after upgrade.

After the reboot, the problem is back, unable to launch the KAV interface (GUI)

So uninstall comodo, restart: OK (KAV GUI launched successfully)

Reinstall comodo, and reboot before the upgrade. Same issue. As soon as Comodo is running, KAV GUI is no more working (unable to launch the KAV GUI)

I also tested installing first Comodo and KAV after. GUI is OK until the first reboot.

So may I understand that KAV is incompatible with all “external” Firewall meaning that I have to install KIS?
Or changing from KAV to another AV to keep Comodo as FW?

What’s wrong with KAV/Comodo?

Did You create in both products exclusions to each other?
