K Plus waiting for gc.kis.v2.scr.kaspersky-labs.com with safe-browsing turned off

Hi, all of sudden I am having slow webpage loading with "waiting for gc.kis.v2.scr.kaspersky-labs.com" in the lower left corner. I am using chrome. I have my safe-browsing turned off. It's not happening alot, but why am I having this issue? Why is K Plus even checking the page? 

I don't have kaspersky chrome plugin.

What else do I have to turn off?

Hello @K0908,

unfortunately there are already some reports about this problem.
It should not occur because the 'gc.kis.v2.scr...' link is resolved locally on your machine, no connection to the outside is made.

Since you don't use the browser plugin, you can test the following:
Open 'Settings->Security settings->Advanced protection->Network settings'.
Disable 'Inject script into web traffic...'.
 

Spoiler

You may have to reload affected pages several times if they are in the browser cache.
I think that you can then also enable 'Safe Browsing' again, it is not unimportant...

Hi Schulte,

Yes it should not happen, but it is happening. I can not disable the option since I am using ad-block. 

Is there any other way? Again, it's not happening alot, but it started to happen recently. 

You mentioned "Safe Money, Private Browsing, Anti-Banner, and URL Advisor", I know Anti-Banner and it's turned off. How do I turn off the rest?

Talking about Safe Money(I'm not using password manager), yesterday, I tried to log into my sam's club membership with a different id, chrome pre-filled my id, K plus disabled both fields.(it has a K symbole next to the fields). I have to pause the Kaspersky to enable fields to change id and password. Why is it happening?

Honestly, I feel new Kaspersky system throw in many useless features(at least they are useless to me) and causing many more problems that I don't have to deal with using KIS in past 10-15 yrs. It's a really disappointment. ATM, is it possible to exchange my 3yr K Plus to a 3yr KIS？ It still have 1038 days left.

I don't quite understand why using an adblocker keeps you from disabling script injection. Can you please explain this in more detail?

If you don't want to use a feature, you can always disable it in Kaspersky.

Many of the functions were already included in KIS.

There could be several reasons for your password problem. Can you please post a screenshot of the K icon?

With your Plus license a downgrade to KIS is probably not possible, maybe the KTS would be possible. But I wouldn't do that.
Only the support can tell you more, the forum can not help with license questions.

I am also having an issue with slow browsing or pages not working correctly. When using Chrome the message "waiting for gc.kis.v2.scr.kaspersky-labs.com" is displayed in the lower left of the screen. If I'm using Firefox or Edge no message is displayed but the results are the same. I have safe browsing turned on.

I have disabled the check box under network settings but it is still occurring.

I am using Windows 10 version 22H2

I have been having this problem for around two weeks.

I have issues with google search, gmail, youtube, google maps being slow or not loading which may or not be related. I give some examples below:

Google search will not function with Firefox at all but Duck Duck Go works fine. Using Edge I am able to search using Bing and Google search functions with Chrome though both can be slow at times. I do not like using either Edge or Chrome.

Gmail will only function when using Chrome and then sending emails does not always work and I am unable to attach files.

Youtube functions under Firefox but the search function does not work and navigation is limited. Youtube operation when using Chrome is slow.

Online gaming and streaming does not appear to effected. It just seems to be anything involving google products.

IF unchecking "Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages" did not help & (you've) done a CLEAN install of Kaspersky Standard, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service -> on the support page: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts, select either Chat or Email, then fill in Application malfunction, Incompatibility with 3rd party software template; please include any screen images of the error & a detailed history. Support may request browser debug logs, traces & other data; they will guide you. 

 

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?
