Issues with Kaspersky Security Center Update Tasks - Air-Gapped Environment

Hello,

I’m facing an issue with updating in an air-gapped production environment, and I would appreciate some guidance.

Here’s my process:

  1. I download the updates on a local computer connected to the internet.
  2. I copy the update files from KLSHARE to a flash drive.
  3. I transfer the files to the production environment (which is air-gapped) and attempt to update by using the shared path as the source in the update tasks (both UPDATE TASK FOR KES and Download Update to Admin Server Repository).

The issue:

  • Kaspersky Security Center (KSC) is showing errors during the update tasks. Both the UPDATE task for KES and Download Update to Admin Server Repository are problematic.
  • I have two servers (A and B). The update works fine on Server A, but on Server B, I receive an error stating that "Update files are corrupted" and not all components are updated.
  • The Download Update to Admin Server Repository task doesn’t update all components. Specifically, the anti-virus databases aren’t available after the task completes.

I’m confused because there are no clear logs in KSC or Windows Event Logs to help me troubleshoot.

Could someone explain how the update process works in detail? Specifically:

  • How do update contents travel through the system?
  • Which ports or protocols are used to ensure updates reach their destination?
  • How can I trace or troubleshoot the entire update process when using a shared path?

Any assistance or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
