Is there a setting where, when an app wants to access the internet, it asks permission and i can save it as Once or Forever?

At the moment it seems to be doing everything on its own. It sounds odd that i am asking for this permission, but recently MSI has put an update to its AIO and the latest version has a lot of bugs, so i downgrade it and before with bitdefender it pops up asks for permission and i just block it. With Kaspersky i cant do that control as it already adds itself automatically and gives it access.

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

You can set up which apps may access to Internet via Settings -> Security Settings -> Advanced Protection -> Intrusion Prevention -> Manage Applications, column Network.

By default, the network traffic is allowed to all the apps located in Trusted groups.

But also, You can change the product to Interactive Mode, in this mode You may get many warnings, but You will be prompted. To do so, You have to go to Settings -> Security Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Exclusions and actions on object detection -> and disable (and Save) the 1st setting: Perform recommended actions automatically:

What do You mean? the reason apps are located in Untrusted is that are not signed, or don't have a trusted or approved certificate, are suspicious or are known to KSN (cloud tech).

Hello @Kane

  1. Also, in Kaspersky Internet Security, Manage applications window - Clean up - will remove applications that no longer exist from the list - there's no option to remove *all* applications - image 1 below; individually - on each application - rightclick & select Remove from list - image 2 below - removing it from the list will not remove it from the computer.
  2. Before making any changes - Export KIS configuration, that way, if you're not happy with the change(s) it can be reversed by importing the original config, read: How to export application settings

Cheers for that info, yea i was trying to figure out how to do a fresh reset of all the apps its got in there.

I also notice when i set it to sort of not automate, it asks for everything including registry edits/creation/etc, i can't seem to control and say i only want network access information to ask for permission with a (Forever or "Once Only) function.

Hello @Kane

Thank you for posting back!

  1. Restore - will restore *all* of the Kaspersky settings to the *original* configuration - it's important to Export the config before doing this - so you can Import - if (you're) not happy with the result - read: Managing application settings

2. *Also*, IF MSI AIO is automatically being assigned as *Untrusted* - by Kaspersky - go to Kaspersky Reports - find any MSI events and post back the details please?

3. Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) has been replaced by Kaspersky Standardyou may wish to upgrade, the upgrade is *free* - read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ by Danila T.

Kaspersky Standard can be downloaded from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product.

Thank you🙏
