Is there a post that can be referenced on the current known issues with Kids?

The current issue with sleep mode basically turning off much of Kids is a pretty big deal. and yet there is no pinned topic to inform customers which is really poor ettiquette.

Significant issues like this need to be pinned along with any known date(s) of resolution please. I am really beginning to feel like Kaspersky does not respect it’s customers and sees them as a bother? What is going on with the product team????

Hello @SST

Welcome back!

There is no pinned or merged topic, there’s 3 (that we can find) original KSK/Sleep mode related topics, however, they’re distinct from the many topics that’ve been created or replied to since the release of patch G. (ioo) pre patch G & post patch G issues are different.

Note the most recent advice (to 4 questions we raised, as a result of Patch H release notes ) from Kaspersky Technical experts Russia / KSK Developers:

quote:

1. What does "'Distributive with patch H' which will be published 1-2 weeks after "Patch H, which will published 100% to all Kaspersky user's PCs on 11.03.2021?", mean?

Answer:
Distributive - it is installation file with integrated patches. Patch H will be integrated in the installation file.
11.03.2021 - it is the date of full publication of patch on update servers.
These are two different things.

2. Is the "sleep mode" reference, the Windows 10 sleep mode or KSK?

Answer:
Sleep Mode - Windows feature - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/shut-down-sleep-or-hibernate-your-pc-2941d165-7d0a-a5e8-c5ad-8c972e8e6eff

3. Regarding the misleading Patch notes.
Patch H has been pulled, the rollout has been stopped due to "bugs" found during testing.
The Release notes should reflect the fact there is a new date for the release of Patch H.

Answer:
We will do our best in future.

4. Why was Patch H released without being fully tested?

Answer:
Patch H was fully tested.

On the basis of the above replies, we further asked:

Is Patch H combined, i.e. Patch H dated 11.3.21 & the distributive Patch H eta 25.3.21, only to fix KSK on devices that meet Sleep Mode - Windows feature - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/shut-down-sleep-or-hibernate-your-pc-2941d165-7d0a-a5e8-c5ad-8c972e8e6eff criteria?

Kaspersky Technical experts Russia / KSK Developers replied:

Answer:

Patch H is the extra patch, which fixes only one bug: Safe Kids limits of device usage doesn't work after exiting from Sleep mode.

Regarding Kaspersky’s response to the many impacted parents, agreed, their PR has been nothing short of disastrous.

Thank you🙏
