is Kaspersky consuming more data than a non clould Antivirus Security ?

Hi. I would like to know if using kaspersky will burn more of my allowed data (from my internet provider), as oppose to a non cloud program ?   

does the program always communicate with the cloud?  if not, at what frequency does it communicate ?
