Invalid Name of Windows Certificate, site “connect.zemana.com"

Kaspersky began to issue a ‘Invalid Name of Certificate’ warning about the Zemana AnitMalware Windows Certificate.   This happens whenever Zemana connects to their site “connect.zemana.com”

Any suggestions on how to resolve?

Thank you.

Hello @Houdini1031

Welcome!

  1. Read before you create a new topic!
  2. Post an image of the detection please?
  3. Post images of the certificate details & path tabs
  4. Is Zemana fully up to date?
  5. Has Zemana been reinstalled?
  6. is the actual error: ‘Invalid Name of Certificate’ or Messages "Certificate verification problem detected" and "Cannot guarantee authenticity of the domain to which encrypted connection is established" when trying to open a website?

Please let us know?

Thank you🙏

Thank you for your reply, Flood 🐳+🐋.

I copied the related dialog boxes to an MS Word document (attached).

I also contacted Zemana, but they suggest I contact Kaspersky.

Even though I kept choosing “Continue,” the warning would happen multiple times a day, so I eventually uninstalled Zemana.

Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

Hello @Houdini1031

You’re most welcome!

Thank you for posting back & the information!

Certificate hostname does not match the site hostname:

SSL Report: connect.zemana.com

  1. Have Zemana been shown the certificate hostname(s) discrepancy?
  2. Which KAV version & patch(x) is installed → on the Windows taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the KAV icon, select About

Please let us know?

Thank you🙏

Hello @Houdini1031

Thank you for the information!

Have you tried re-installing Zemana? If “yes” & the certificate error persists & you trust Zemana, follow all steps in:

  1. How to remove the certificate warning messages by adding the website to the exclusions list
  2. After adding azurewebsites.net restart the computer, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, make sure KAV is active, recheck the issue; if the issue persists log a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, fill in Application malfunction, Incompatibility with 3rd party software template; Support may request Logs, Traces & other data, they will guide you:

Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏
