Internet Security renewal

Apologies if this has been answered, I did look around.

Win 10 Home 10.0.19045
Kaspersky Internet Security 21.3.10.391(I)

Due to an oversight on my part auto renewal failed and was cancelled.

I purchased it manually and received confirmation with an activation code.

I've delayed applying it until today which is the day before the current one expires.  I input the activation code and it showed confirmation that my system was protected for 364 days - unfortunately I did not capture that screen.

However the application still shows it expires tomorrow.  I'm reluctant to input the activation code again in case it cause problems, but I'm also reluctant to leave it until tomorrow in case protection has ended.

Advice please, thank you,

Yes, that's the screen that then showed it was valid for 364 days but now shows it expires in less than 24 hours.

'Update status' on the Subscription screen also shows it expires tomorrow.

Hello @PaulH

  1. Also, (you) can check the activation of the *new* subscription - sign into (your) MyKaspersky account, select the Subscription tab, from there (you) should be able to see the existing subscription & the new subscription.
  2. The expiry date - tomorrow - of the *existing* subscription - is normal, do not worry, when the existing subscription expires, it will switch to the new subscription (you've) purchased.
  3. A subscription cannot be activated more than *once* - as long as (you) sign into (your) MyKaspersky account & verify the new subscription is showing, everything should remain as is.

Thank you🙏

The Subscriptions tab only shows the expiring subscription.

But this time I noticed a link upper left 'All subscriptions' which with the left arrow implied that it would take me back a level.  But clicking that showed a screen does show both the old and the new subscriptions.

Thank you.

Unsurprisingly when I switch on this morning protection had expired i.e. it hadn't switched to the new subscription.

Going to the screen in my previous post and to All subscriptions it still showed both subscriptions but with no devices attached to the new subscription.

After going round in circles for a bit I was told to download and install Kaspersksy (again as I ended up doing that a couple of days ago but got nowhere).  Input the Activation code but got some garbled message about old and new activation codes and already been used.  However there was a link (can't remember the wording) about using an already stored code and it now shows 362 days remaining.  However it only showed one of my two devices as protected.

Turned on the other device which is an old XP machine and that had expired as well.  However I'm getting nowhere updating that as trying to go to My Kaspersky it tells me my Browser is out of date.  Downloaded and installed Google Chrome and it says the same thing.

Trying to connect through the application it won't accept the email and password that works on the other computer.

So how do I get my XP machine protected now?

Hello @PaulH

Thank you for posting back & the information!

We're not sure IF (you've) stayed with KIS or taken advantage of the free upgrade to Kaspersky's new version - Kaspersky Standard - either way - XP is not supported:

  1. Kaspersky Internet Security, Hardware and software requirements
  2. Kaspersky for Windows, Standard, Hardware and software requirements

Thank you🙏
