Install Kaspersky security center 11 with activation code or key file?

I am installing Kaspersky security center 11 for the first time. The instruction video says activate kaspersky with a key file. I do not have a key file. After I purchased the product, I was issued an activation code. How do I obtain a key file? Can I use the activation code? Thank you.

Hi ace, welcome to the new forum. The main difference is that no connection to the KL activation server is required for activation with a key file. You can convert the activation code into a key file: https://keyfile.kaspersky.com/en/
