Hi there,

I have been using an application called MAXQDA on macOS. Kaspersky blocks recent versions i.e., 2022 and 2024, from their launching and I need to quit Kaspersky to use them. The older versions are fine.

It would be greatly appreciated if I had the "whitelist" of applications by which I can manually exclude applications from Kaspersky's blocking. If this is a tall order, please allow MAXQDA to start up normally on macOS.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @kowk

Welcome!

  1. In Protection > Reports, find the block *reason*.
  2. Zip the MAXQDA exe, password protect the zip file - use either MALWARE or INFECTED as the password.
  3. Log a case with: Kaspersky Customer Service - https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts - fill in the template as shown - select (your) Kaspersky software from the drop-down list(A)

  4. Request Kaspersky Customer Service assign the case to Kaspersky Virus Lab experts for analysis.

  5. Provide a *detailed history* including that the older versions of MAXQDA are fine & do not appear to have any compatibility issues with Kaspersky, only MAXQDA 2022 / 2024. || *Include the zip-archive password - for the Virus Lab experts* || Include the Kaspersky Report showing the block.
