Hello @Mahmoud Hussein

Welcome!

  • Why do (you) think Kaspersky Premium is the root-cause of the issue?
  1. READ & follow *all* steps in this *recommended-answer* carefully: i lost all my history and bookmarks and can not find them

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏

Hi @Flood

I don't think, I am confident, since I just purchased it yesterday and after scanning my laptop, all bookmarks were unavailable.

Hello @Mahmoud Hussein

Thank you for posting back & the information!

  1. Before *yesterday* were you signed into (your) Chrome account?
  2. Before *yesterday* was synchronization enabled?
  3. Have (you) read & followed *all* the steps in the resource provided - were you able to find the two files: Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak in location: C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default & OR Profile1 folder - and did (you) make sure - when doing this procedure (you) were exited OUT of all browsers

Thank you🙏

When I tried to sync with the account, Chrome retrieved old bookmarks. It seems that the new bookmarks were not synchronized with the account.

Hello @Mahmoud Hussein

Thank you for posting back & the information!

So, the transition is from: "all bookmarks were unavailable" to "Chrome retrieved old bookmarks. It seems that the new bookmarks were not synchronized with the account"

  1. Prior to installing Kaspersky was the Chrome Activity History on OR off -> contact Google.
  2. As a holder of a Kaspersky *Premium* Subscription, the: Premium Support Services *may* be available to (you), read the document *carefully*.
  3. Log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service,  https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts -> on the support page, select Email, then fill in the template as shown; please include a *detailed* history. Support may request logs, traces & other data; they will guide you: image.thumb.png.3bd2410f143e7d8ee25f0694283572ce.png

Just wanted to ask about my favorite bookmarks in Google Chrome. After I installed Kaspersky, the bookmarks are still there, but some of them no longer show their icons/pictures.

Some bookmarks still display the correct icon, while others only show a blank or generic icon.

I already tried disabling the Anti-Banner feature, but it didn’t fix the issue.

Could anyone please advise what else I can try?

What about Private Browsing module, enabled? Provide also version of K. product installed.

Thank you, Harlan. Disabling the Private Browsing feature did restore most of the bookmark icons, not all. I also had to open each webpage individually for the icons to refresh correctly.

However, would disabling this option increase the risk of virus or malware infections?

Please advise.
