How to update Kaspersky Safe Kids (Windows) to the latest patch level?

Kaspersky Safe Kids for Windows is Version 1.0.5 patch D on my kid’s computer.  In the release notes of patch E, it says that patch E is automatically installed by the kaspersky safe kids database update.

Patch E was released 2 weeks ago and my kid’s installation is stll on patch D. Why is it not updated and what can I do to update it? Can I force a “database update” somehow?

Hello @Sebastian M.,

When a patch update is available, the following should show:

A yellow alert triangle on the KSK icon

A KSK notification popup

 

Confirm the following, on the computer with KSK(d): 

🅰 You’ve signed into the KSK account with the (KSK) Parent profile? 

🅱 The device meets KSK system requirements? 

• If the answer to both A & B is “yes”, uninstall Kaspersky Safe Kids for Window, power the device on, download and install KSK, if KSK remains on patch (d), log a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, ask them to confirm patch (e) has been released in your location, if they advise “yes”, ask them to advise why the device is not updating?
• When logging the case, provide a full history, a GSI & Windows logs, images, select Application malfunction, Other template

 

• After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.
• Please share the outcome with the Community when it’s available?

Hi FLOOD, thanks for the assistance. I have not logged into KSK with the parent profile, it was the kid’s profile. Maybe that was the reason, I’ll try it with the parental account when the next patch is available.
