Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Go to File Options  Add-ins.
  3. Check add-in options for the KES plugin.
  4. Make sure that scan on receive and scan on send are enabled.
  5. If problem persists, enable KES tracing.
  6. Restart Outlook.
  7. Send e-mail with infected .doc file.
  8. Send another e-mail with EICAR.
  9. Stop traces and send them to the Kaspersky support for further analysis.
