How Important is URL Advisor (and hence Web script injection setting)?

I'm very sensitive to maximizing performance.  Since installing Kaspersky, I noticed when I go to a new website (I use MS Edge) for about a good second or so I see in the bottom bar "Waiting for {a Kaspersky website address}" then the page loads.  I understand this is the web script injection setting doing this that says it is required for the URL advisor to work.

I've been a SysAdmin for 30+ years and I can identify a shady website when I see it.  In addition I would assume Kaspersky, even with this feature turned off, would block execution of any scripts or downloads that have virus/malware code.

Is the URL Advisor critical to preventing virus/malware infection or is it more an 'icing on the cake' feature that is primarily more informative than actually adding significantly better protection from infection?
