How are Safe Kids time limits measured?

I just set up my daughter’s iphone with a time limit. Since then it has just been sitting on my desk charging. When I went into the KSK settings and looked at the device, it says she’s used 44 minutes so far. So, is it measuring screen time when the device is sitting in sleep mode? Does she have to physically turn the phone off for it accurately measure active screen time?

According to the documentation “Kaspersky Safe Kids records the device use history if monitoring of the specified device is turned on.”

In our test, we set the device use time to 10 minutes, we then allowed the device to “sleep” for 16 minutes, KSK Reports show the device use time in real time, from the moment we activated the rule; however, after 16 minutes, we used the device, KSK did not block, the conclusion, even tho the Report shows the device use time as 16 minutes, KSK does not calculate that as time the child used the device.

So sorry for the long delay, Kaspersky/KSK specialists have just advised:

Device usage time is not measured when the device is in sleep mode. KSK should only measure screen time when it is in use.
