I ran "sudo kav stop HomeNetworkMonitoring" when i tried some test

but I can't enable it again. I ran "sudo kav start HomeNetworkMonitoring" then it gave me "Error: task 'HomeNetworkMonitoringTaskType' can't start, last error code 0X80000061
KAVShellSTART failed, err: 0x80000061"

Hello @yukko

Welcome back!

  1. *uninstall* Kaspersky.
  2. Shutdown / power OFF the mac.
  3. Power ON the mac by pressing the power-button.
  4. Download a *new* Kaspersky installer.
  5. Install.
  6. Make sure the Kaspersky is synchronised with (your) MyKaspersky account?
  7. Re-check the original issue?
  8. IF it persists, please log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as shown, *select (your) Kaspersky software (A)*; please include a *detailed history*
  • *Also*, IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*     image.thumb.png.4d4815e40a19c9e491e26cb46fc8d0d6.png

thank you for reply. I was testing if kaspersky was blocking access from another device on my LAN, but it was not kaspersky.

so I was trying to re-enable it, but it failed. I did not change any thing or file during that time.

my kaspersky is standard version. maybe it's premium functionality?

I don't see any sign of "protection has been disable" on main kaspersky window , but "sudo kav status" gives me "HomeNetworkMonitoring  disabled" while others are enabled or running
