Hello guys, my first post here in this forum.
I have a couple of doubts, recently I applied a new policy in the Web Control section of KES11, basically I block various types of web content.
The first doubt is, if I navigate to a website and the message about the Web Control policy appears and it gives me the option to ask the administrator that this page is reliable, as an administrator, how do I allow that user to navigate on the requested page, how can I authorize access to the website?
And the other doubt is, is it possible to receive this user requests on the email, instead of looking it in the event section of the Administration Server?

Thanks in advance.

Valter.

Hello, to release a blocked site, you must add a rule to release before blocking, I will use the example of the Google site.

Then enter the policy again and check if the email sending option is enabled, if it is, go to the Event Configuration option and enable the event "Web page access blockage message to administrator" to notify by email.

I've got a situation on my hands and I could really use some advice. I've got a bunch of machines running Kaspersky Endpoint for Mac, and I recently made some changes to the Web Control settings in KES. Long story short, I ended up blocking certain types of web content. Now, the problem is that I can't access my HTTPS website anymore. It's not just that though, even popular sites like GitHub won't load on both Firefox and Chrome. Any idea what might be causing this headache? Do you think I need to tweak something in the policy within Kaspersky Security Center 12? I'm open to any suggestions or solutions you might have. Thanks a bunch!

Hello AshleyMargaret,

please check in the policy under "Additional Settings ->Network->Web Threat Protection" if the option to "Check Secure Connections" is enabled. Diable it and check if the sites can be loaded.

If yes goto Essential Threat Protection - Web Threat Protection ->Settings and add an exclusion for Web Urls that haven't to be scanned.

Thank you in advance

Best Regards
