Hello Dear Community,

I got a simple Question, tho i havent found a good Anwser to this yet anywhere.

Im using Kaspersky Plus, and i want to know wich is the best Scan Mode in "Flie Anti-Virus" Module for Maximum Security.

Is it "Smart Mode" or "On Access and Modification" ?
I dont care about Resource Usage, i want the Maximum Protection against Ransomware, Persistance etc.

Please only Anwser if you know and please tell me why your Anwser would be correct / from where you know.

Best Regards,
ZeroX

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Check this link:

https://support.kaspersky.com/help/Kaspersky/Win21.19/en-US/85606.htm

Scan mode

Smart mode. In this mode, File Anti-Virus scans an object based on an analysis of actions taken on the object. For example, when working with a Microsoft Office document, Kaspersky application scans the file the first time it is opened and the last time it is closed. Intermediate operations that overwrite the file do not cause it to be scanned.

On access and modification. In this mode, File Anti-Virus scans objects whenever there is an attempt to open or modify them.

On access. In this mode, File Anti-Virus scans objects only upon an attempt to open them.

On execution. In this mode, File Anti-Virus only scans objects upon an attempt to run them.

I would say: On access and modification, but putting maximum security settings in this module may slow down Your system experience.

I think this is the stronger: On access and modification. In this mode, File Anti-Virus scans objects whenever there is an attempt to open or modify them.
