As the title says, I've been using kaspersky for a long time and one thing that alwats held me back from trying other browsers (that were not Chrome, firefox or Edge) was the lack of support from the devs to use the Kaspersky extension in those browsers.

Since the extension support chromium based browsers, is it really t hat hard to expand support to simply install it from the store onto other browsers that use the same engine?

Me personally I'm using Vivaldi because it is one of the best out there in terms of features and privacy support and I would love to be able to use the extension with it.

Can you make it happen?

No, but you may be able to, (you're) more than welcome to submit a request to Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as Feedback, I have a suggestion OR Feedback, I have a complaint; include a *detailed history*. Select (your) Kaspersky application from the drop-down-list (A)
  • *Also* -> IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*

I've done that before, I did it again as per your suggestion "Incident Report # INC000017152340"

I know the people in the forums are users but, you can't ask enough and in enough places for features that "make sense"

Thank you for posting back & for being proactive!

It's not about 'people in the forums' being users; Kaspersky relies on feedback from their subscribers - and it's better if the actual subscriber submits the issue as they can fully describe the issue & the impact - also - if Kaspersky require data - that subscriber can provide it. 

There is an un-authorised hack for the browser extension that involves renaming the Chrome exe, the downside of this is it needs to be redone at every Chrome update.
