We have the Kaspersky  endpoint security version: 11.6.0.394, we are wanting confirmation or any information that someone may have in terms of completely encrypting a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL. We have checked with support but they have yet to do any encryption or tests on this model laptop from Lenovo and we are finding it hard to get our hands ona unit in country with which we can run our own encryption decryption tests on.

Appreciate any assistance from anyone who may have done this sucessfully.

Greetings HFC,

If you are talking about full disk encryption then you can use Kaspersky encryption or you can manage Bitlocker encryption both are configured on the security center. Here's some information about Kaspersky Full Disk Encryption:

https://support.kaspersky.com/KESWin/11.6.0/en-US/137268.htm

At the bottom of the article you will find other topics relating to encryption.

Here's the information about managing Bitlocker encryption:

https://support.kaspersky.com/KESWin/11.6.0/en-US/196002.htm

Again, more information at the bottom of the kb article.

Please be aware that you’ll need a Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business-Advanced license added to the security center.

I hope this information helps.

Regards,

Hello HFC,

we use Lenovo E15 G2 (Model No 20T8000Mxx) and successfully encrypted the harddrives with Kaspersky’s own FDE.

No problems regarding buildin laptopkeyboard or touchpad. External USB keyboards and mice also work fine for the password screen.

We don’t use BitLocker - so no information about that functionality.
