We recently updated KSC 11 to KSC 12 and noticed a lot of errors on the client machines. Client versions range  from KES 10.2.6.3733 through KES 11.3.0.773.  With most client on version 11+

The error is below:

Event type:     Task cannot be performed
Result:     Cannot start task
Object:     Update
Object\Name:     Update
Reason:     Cannot start two tasks at the same time


Basically, each task is throwing an error.

Hello,

Are you experiencing the issue with the update task or other tasks too?

As i suspect, you must have had a task for update created by you in the KSC that is trying to start with the default update task of KES. Don't worry though. Once database gets updated, and policies are sync, these error should go away.
