Cannot Select Application for Split Tunneling - Mac

I have just installed Kaspersky VPN with the specific goal of using its split tunneling capabilities but unfortunately when I go to settings to enable this feature, I cannot select any applications. The search bar is there and when I type something in it, it opens but does not show any applications to select for split tunneling. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail.

Searching for this matter was also useless as it seems to be a random bug.
I would appreciate any advice or solutions if anyone has faced such a matter.
