Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble activating the Linux Raspberry Pi OS on my device. I generated a key file using the link provided previously, but I'm encountering the same error as I did with the activation code. When I try to run the activation command on the specific machine, it returns an error indicating that the key is incompatible with the installed application. The application I have installed is KESL 12.1.

I'm also unclear about the compatibility list provided in the email, particularly the terms WS and FS. What do these abbreviations mean?

Could anyone advise on how to resolve this issue? Additionally, I'd like to understand the licensing for a cross OS with the KES Business Advanced license.

Note: The endpoint is standalone, and there is no network agent installed.

In some cases I have experienced, you can install KES even though it is not on the compatibility list, but the application simply does not start and/or does not work correctly. Therefore, the activation key is not received by the AV.

Hello,

frankly speaking you cannot add a key by add key task from KSC if there is no Network Agent installed on the Linux client.
In this case you have to provide the key locally and the device needs an internet connection when using the activation code.

Regarding the key type when you order the license you will be provided with the activation code for FS and WS which means this is the key to apply to your KES Windows or KES Linux or KES MAC device or KSWS Server. Your license certificate which you received by your distributor in PDF format show what you have ordered.
