I cannot delete this folder no matter what, already tried to use some programs to unlock it but without success. Need to delete it in order to install the agent again.

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

You have to temporarily disable KES Auto-Defense:

And then re-enable.

It's Your KES managed by a console KSCenter?

No, only locally.

Thanks for your post.
If you uninstall Kaspersky Network Agent from Add/Delete Programs section, this folder will be removed automatically.

Hello, that is the problem. The agent is not installed 🤔

Could you please clarify why do you want to delete that folder?

Remote installation task of both the agent and endpoint is returning an error "connot delete folder 1103". Also cannot install locally with package because of this error

Is the Network Agent service running or showing up in the services list? Try starting in safe mode and removing it.

Sorry still don't get it. Could you please clarify:

1. What are you trying to deploy?

2. What are you using to deploy?

3. Which OS is using the affected computer?

If you are using KES in standalone mode, and want to migrate to recent versions, you should uninstall KES using Add/Remove Programs, restart computer, then install recent KES version.

Sorry for the confusion.

  1. I'm trying to install the Kaspersky agent and endpoint on a server.

  2. I tried both remote installation tasks and local installation using the standalone packages.

  3. The server is running Windows Server 2016.

I'm not trying to migrate to newer versions — I just want to perform a fresh installation, since there is currently no agent or security application installed on this server. Kaspersky was used on this server in the past and later removed, but there’s still a leftover folder that shouldn’t be there

No problem at all.

2. Could you please clarify which version of Kaspersky Security Center are you using? (Expected answer: Cloud or On Premise and specific release)
