I can’t send emails from my pc. I get a VM401 error. Nothing had changed on my out going server. I can send from iPad  and phone just not my pc. A few weeks ago I enabled vpn for about 36 hours, this stoped me sending emails. I thought I’ve learned won’t enable that again. Which I haven’t. Wendy to send an email  Wednesday and I got this VM401 encrypt message. I just don’t know what to do. I lot my husband November and he would usually sort things like thise, but I don’t know what to do. I’ve good.e and tried things but nothing works. Can someone please advise.

Hi I will have to put pc back on and check, as I have no idea. Just wish my husband was still here to help. I just don’t know. No out going settings have changes, so it must be kaspersky. Just more stress I don’t need.

Please, stop VPN and try again.

In addition to @harlan4096 , in some cases an ISP cannot identify his own SMTP server and is refusing outgoing traffic ?

If you want to use Your email services with VPN, usually and in general, You have to add Your email client app to Split Tunneling exclusion.
