Buying a new subscription instead of renewing

Recommended Posts

I used to get my licenses from Amazon, prices have tripled from last year and renew is pretty much what it would cost on amazon but I see this on the kaspersky website, am I correct in assuming its for anybody for getting a new subscription?

Also, how do I get rid of old subscriptions on my account?

Hello @CodenameJelly

Welcome back!

  1. Any subscriber purchasing a *new* subscription, read: Introductory price for the first year of your subscription. It will renew automatically at £xx.xx per year. Cancel your subscription at any time. For more details on this subscription, readHow your subscription works. & readVPN Statement -> IF (you've) previously used K+ & Premium VPN - you'll be aware of the constraints ->  image.thumb.png.f16c477c7ce76e24db480a5cbc44ffe9.png                                               *BTW - a URL - as well as an image - would be most appreciated - then members of the Community who reply to you are absolutely confident they're on the same page as you....
  2. Log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts, they will assist. IF the old subscriptions are originally purchased via AMAZON - support may require additional information.

Thank you🙏

Im in the same boat, getting activation codes via Amazon for years and this year the cost has nearly quadrupled.

I Googled for activation codes and this came up, which appears to be a legitimate Kaspersky offer.

Can this be used for renewal activation or not? If it's purely for an initial subscription, why are Kaspersky discriminating against loyal renewal customers?

Hello @Stevex

Welcome back!

  1. The page we think (you've) found is dated 2024, post the URL for the page please?  And - on the page we think (you've) found there's two prices for Kaspersky Standard: £15.30 & £ 11 .40 -> when we select the Kaspersky Standard we think (you've) shown in the image it populates the shopping cart with Kaspersky Premium. || This is the UK site for Kaspersky Standard: https://www.kaspersky.co.uk/standard - see image
    Spoiler

  2. No, when you subscribe, you pay the introductory price for the first term. The introductory price is stated on the offer page, in your shopping cart, and in your email receipt, along with other offer details, readHow your subscription works
  3. The Forum is littered with topics asking the same question, (IOO) Kaspersky has never rewarded Subscriber 'loyalty' with competitively priced 'renewal' subscriptions - we always recommend purchasing new if the price is right.
  4. *Caution* -> IF (you're) used to purchasing from Amazon -> with Kaspersky's new range, Standard, Plus & Premium - IF the subscription is purchased from a Kaspersky website - the subscription *normally automatically activates* when a successful payment is processed, not when the software is installed.
  5. *Caution* -> IF (you're) used to purchasing from Amazon -> with Kaspersky's new range, Standard, Plus & Premium - IF the subscription is purchased from a Kaspersky website - there is no Activation code - there's a License Key - the License Key is sent direct to (your) MyKaspersky account that matches the email address in (your) shopping-cart-transaction.
  6. The installed application *must* be signed into (your) MyKaspersky account so the License Key & app synchronise.

Thank you🙏

This is the url for that offer I posted, at the very bottom of the page I see it's dated 2024, so an old offer I guess.

Kaspersky Standard Antivirus | Kaspersky

When I went into My Kaspersky and went to renewal, I got an offer window with 30% off, which takes the price down to £26.60 from £37.99. I guess this will be the best offer available.

Hello @Stevex

You're most welcome!

Thank you for the link.

We don't think it's an *old* offer, but it's poorly constructed, the issues we have:

  1. The date.
  2. Kaspersky Premium showing primer año instead of first year.
  3. B2C License Agreement goes to CONTRATO DE LICENCIA DE USUARIO FINAL (EULA) - for a UK site.
  • -> all seems a bit suss - but getting Kaspersky Premium 1/1 for £ 15.30 - is a good deal -> IF the offer is authentic:                                               image.thumb.png.4b26849df722f6db7df9d09d7f15218b.png
  • IF we were making a decision on this - we'd check with Kaspersky Customer Service https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts - fill in the template as shown:image.thumb.png.ef751e46b99891d80e0062c7791f152b.png

Thank you🙏
