Hi, is it possible that both parents use/control the same child? Or is it one parent per one or more kids?

Hello Doll. Welcome and very interesting question, I've had this "discussion" very recently with the Lab. Atm, it's one parent profile. KSK - thinks all children are born with one primary parent, if another parent wishes to "manage" the child via KSK, it's necessary for both parents to use the same KSK (parent) profile:zipper_mouth:??? The issue needs addressing by the KSK Technical Team, in the real world, there's more kids born with 2 parents than by test tube and sharing accounts flies in the face of security. If you have time it would be great if you'd raise a request via: https://my.kaspersky.com/, choose: device operating system, KSK, I have a suggestion, feedback or complaint - template. The more feedback Kaspersky has, the more likely they are to make their products customer focused. Best regards.

Hi, I'll sure ask the team as you suggested because I very much agree with you. The problem is also with the divorced parents and the safety of kids... Kind regards.

Totally Doll, it's a bizarre solution, to make a product that is only able to be managed by one parent profile. When I nutted this out, I couldn't comprehend that any of the developers, testers, boh staff, etc. etc, had ever seen a child, let alone "managed" one. I reckon Kaspersky product "testing / market research" needs a good shakeup. Your points are so valid. It will be very helpful to have an INC for this issue, thank you! --- Please let us know the feedback you receive? Best regards!

Hello Doll, When I raised this with lab this was their reply: Friday, 5 July 2019 14:54 "Having two My Kaspersky accounts for the parents (parent 1 and parent 2) to operate (create restrictions) for the same child / device is not possible currently. KSK is designed to operate under one My Kaspersky account for a parent. Having two Windows user accounts used by the parents (parent 1 and parent 2) to restrict the child device, KSK works normally if they (parent 1 and parent 2) are sharing the same credentials." ? ?

That's weird ?
Hmm, that's a polite assessment Doll? Here's some KSK reading you may be interested in:

https://www.kaspersky.co.in/blog/ksk-kisa-descoping/15417/ What’s changed in Kaspersky Safe Kids? In Kaspersky Safe Kids for Android, the changes are different: Call and SMS monitoring has disappeared (which was an Android-only feature anyway). This means that Kaspersky Safe Kids will cease to notify parents about how much and with whom their children communicate using voice and SMS. The parental control software Kaspersky Safe Kids for iPhone and iPad has shed two features: application control and Safari blocking. Application control is used to block certain programs that parents consider unsuitable for their children. Safari blocking is needed to ensure that children go online only through the secure browser built in Kaspersky Safe Kids. In iOS, these features are now unavailable, but on other platforms, application blocking still works as before.

Kind regards.

I’d like to know if this issue has made any progress. I use a Samsung A5, my Ex uses an iPhone and our son uses a Motorola. Would be amazingly helpful if both of us, as parents, could at least see the location of our child. Eg. Parent 2 with possibly limited access and Parent 1 as Administrator so to say.

Hello @Doll & @SDU

Kaspersky have closed this issue, without our consent.

Kaspersky HQ, KSK developers, claim “There are no plans to implement this functionality. Since it is in little demand”.

Despite our repeated attempts, over 16months, to illuminate the team, Kaspersky refuse to use common sense.

Kaspersky, the great champion of protecting our security, forces us to share our profiles & passwords to manage our children!

?
There’s a few words for that, however, should we write them here, a headkicker is likely to issue us another warning, seems freedom of speech, in the Kaspersky Community, is only welcome if the “speech” praises Kaspersky🙄

Thank you🙏
