I can’t install backblaze and I believe it is the anti-malware’s fault. I get an error saying that backblaze cannot communicate with it’s server to install the application onto my PC.

This is the error I get: https://imgur.com/a/NvzJJaZ

Hello @KasperskyRob

Welcome!

Please tell us:

  1.  Name operating system version
  2. Which KAV version & patch(x) is installed, on the Windows taskbar, or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About ?
  3. Is Backblaze being installed using Run as Administrator
  4. In KAV Reports, are there any Backblaze events?
  5. Is KAV Premium or Free?
  • We cannot replicate the issue, our test:

Please let us know?

Thank you🙏

  1. Win10 and 20H2
  2.  21.2.16.590 (b)
  3. yes
  4. no
  5. I have the basic 15.99 Paid version

I think I may have screwed up some settings and I’m willing to just try deleting and re-downloading Kaspersky

Hello @KasperskyRob

Thank you for the information👌
🅰 Has the system ever been checked for incompatible software, if “no”, please do the check:

List of applications incompatible with Kaspersky Anti-Virus

🅱 Before uninstalling KAV, you could:

  1. Create a System restore point.
  2. Export KAV settings
  3. Reset KAV to default settings
  4. Shutdown using Shutdown, not Restart, power on, login, start KAV, recheck Backblaze?
  5. If you do uninstall, only save License information, do not tick any other check boxes.

Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏
