Application control with Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android 10.8.3.6

Hello,

As part of the implementation of MDM management, we implemented Kaspersky Security Center 11.0.0.1131 coupled with the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android 10.8.3.6 solution on mobile devices in Adnrdoid 9.0

The solution works perfectly, remains a point to check on the application control.

We have Samsung A40 models that have a factory-installed “Galaxy Store” app store that cannot be disabled.

Since we use application control in the Android mobile strategy to prohibit gaming applications, will a game application downloaded through this store be blocked by the strategy? If not, is there a solution to block application stores other than the Google Playstore?

Best regards

Hello,

This is a solution from Special_K on the french topic  :

The application categories are defined via the Kaspersky Security Network, regardless of their origin:

In your scenario, blocking the "Games" category via the Application Control module should prevent the launch of a game from the Galaxy Store.

In the event that an application is not listed within a given category, I invite you to submit a request to our Technical Support:
