Hi.

Is it possible to block access to filetypes which are not executable? For example, a specific .txt file?

I want to block certain application from accessing a specific .txt file (throguh KSC). I’ve created an application category, added the file hash/filename and loaded the application category into the policy, but that didn’t work…

Is there any feature/option I could use for this requirement?

Thank you!

Hello,

Try adding the same file in HIP as untrusted.

Also make sure you blocked the file usage in application control to everyone.

Adding the file to the HIP worked (i’ve set “blocked” for all zones). Thank you very much!

But it works only if file is locally on users pc, if it’s accessed on network share than it is not blocked...
