App usage limits not working when listening to audio books

Hello,

Did this ever get resolved?  I’m thinking of subscribing to Kaspersky Safe Kids, but an important piece of functionality we need is to limit our kids audiobook time to a reasonable 2-3 hours a day.  Without that, our kids have a tendency to spend all day listening to audiobooks at the expense of everything else in their lives!

Basically, we’d need Kaspersky to be able to track and limit app usage time even when the audiobook player app is used in “media player only” mode -- ie. when the screen is off and there’s no actual “screen time” consumed.

Limiting app usage on Google Family Link has the same problem: audio book doesn’t count as “usage” if the screen if off or locked.

Hello @Pogo Dad

Welcome!

No idea; for some unknown reason the topic has been closed😥

  1. Have you installed KSK Free & tested?

We always recommend testing any software before investing.

Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏

It is not fixed, no. Funny how the problem for us all is audiobooks instead of music or something. My kid has the same problem and is using the same screen history workaround to avoid the screen time limits.
