Annoying prompt for certificate selection

Hello, recently updated version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security 12.0.0.465 - upgraded from previous version started prompting for certificate selection, which is quite annoying...

For example after opening any Microsoft Office application - outlook, word, excel, sometimes after new message in outlook...

This message disappears itself after a short time, or after pressing OK / Cancel. But on every next startup this is repeating...

Hello mse,

please open a case here: https://CompanyAccount.kaspersky.com

We need to take a more deeper look at the device information, so please first use our GSI tool and upload the resulting file to your new ticket. This should speed up the analysis:
https://support.kaspersky.com/3632
(Please run as Administrator and include Event Logs)

Enable the traces with level 500 as described here and reproduce the problem.

In addition it might be helpful to get some version information depending on problem description and environment, i.e.:

- Kaspersy Security Center and Network Agent Version (if in use)
- Office Version
- Exchange Server Version (if Problem with Exchange Server environment)

Did you find any solution? Faced with same issue after update clients to KES v 12.0.0.465

Hi,

It is due to the module "analyze encrypted connections" if we do not want the selection of the certificate to be shown, it must include its exclusion in trusted addresses

Regards

I found it, in Kaspersky Endpoint 12:

Open the main application window
Click the Settings icon button in the lower left part of the window.
The Settings window opens.
Scroll/Go to General Settings, clic on Network Settings
Scroll/Go to Trusted addresses
in new window clic +Add
*.outlook.com
clic Add
Save

The prompt for certificate selection in Kaspersky Endpoint Security 12.0.0.465 may be due to a change in the security settings or configuration of the software. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Open the Kaspersky Endpoint Security application on the affected computer.
  2. Go to the "Settings" menu and select "Advanced Settings".
  3. In the "Network" section, click on "Encrypted connections scanning".
  4. In the "Encrypted connections scanning" window, click on the "Advanced settings" button.
  5. In the "Advanced settings" window, uncheck the "Scan encrypted connections" option.
  6. Click "OK" to save the changes and close all windows.

This should disable the certificate selection prompt in Kaspersky Endpoint Security. If the issue persists, you can try disabling other security features one by one to see if any of them are causing the prompt. You can also contact Kaspersky support for further assistance.
