Android app crash due to OutOfMemoryError (coroutines / Dispatchers.IO)

Hello,
I’m experiencing an application crash on Android 13 related to coroutine execution.

Under memory pressure, the app throws an OutOfMemoryError.
The stack trace suggests that a coroutine job is being completed after it has already finished, while additional threads are still being requested from Dispatchers.IO (limitedParallelism).

This results in a thread creation failure and the application crashes without user interaction.

Environment:

  • App: Kaspersky Android
  • App version: 11.129.4.14969
  • OS: Android 13
  • Device: Samsung mid-range Android device

Impact:
Stability issue only. No data loss or security impact observed.

Has anyone encountered a similar coroutine / memory-related crash on Android 13?

  1. Is the issue with the Kaspersky AV app OR the Kaspersky VPN on the Android? 
  2. App version: 11.129.4.14969, requires updating, readVPN Performansı için En Son Sürüme Güncelleyin
  3. IF the issue persists after an update Log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service: https://support.kaspersky.com/tr/b2c/tr#contacts, select E-posta, provide a *detailed history*, also collect an AIDA64 Report & include that with the submission. 

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Hello,

Thank you for the response.

The issue is related to Kaspersky Antivirus for Android, not the VPN application.

I will update to the latest available version and monitor whether the issue persists.
If it continues, I will submit a detailed report to Kaspersky Customer Service including an AIDA64 report, and share the outcome with the community.
