Agent error 1128 ('The product was not installed corr ectly.'

Hi I'm trying to install Network Agent 10.5.1781 and Security 10.1.2.996 for Windows Servers on a Server 2003 SP2 Domain Controller that has previously has KES11 on it, but that has been removed. I can push the agent install to it and this completes fine and connects to the Security Centre: I then try to push the AV to the DC using the agent and it stops at 10%: and the agent then stops communicating, and then it gives error 128: Can you offer any advice?
