Administration Server Cert - Public cert (Digicert. GoDaddy) yes / no

I am thinking about adding on KSC11 server a public certificate ie. Digicert or Goddady under administrator server certificate. The Server has a gateway Network Agent installed on DMZ and is available from public IP and the client agent will connect through internet. My concern is what happens when the certificate expires and what happens to the client, if we need to renew or change public certificate. Thanks, Grega
