Can’t active my account due to connection error, and i followed the instruction on setting up date and DNS client. However it doesn’t work.

Please tell us:

  1. Operating system name, version & build?
  2. KIS version & patch(x)? x = letter
  3. Documentation reference for “instruction on setting up date and DNS client”? 
  4. When you say “Can’t activate my account”, Are you trying to activate KIS application? 
  5. Can you sign into the MYKaspersky account from a browser/ 
  6. How long has KIS been installed? 
  7. Open KIS application, select Settings⚙ , select MORE TOOLS, select Reports, select Detailed Reports, select ALL Events, select 24hrs, select Exportsave the Report as a text file (.txt), attach📎 the Report to your reply please?

Network connection error. DNS issue

I have a similar problem:

I purchased Kaspersky Internet Security for my PC and tried installing it. It installed successfully. Upon activation, it gave me an error: "Activation error: cannot set up server connection."

I tried restarting DNS of which it was already running and I couldn't; I tried changing DNS address and it didn't work; my date and time are synced online from time.windows.com; I tried a different alternative and still no success.

I have it some time and still same result. No success. Can you help?

I am using an Acer Aspire 5; Windows 11; Updated latest to 30/01/2022 insider build

Hello @Benkimaru,

You can try the process below:

Open your system's CMD (Command Prompt) as an Administrator and paste the following commands one at a time.

→ netsh winsock reset

→ netsh int ip reset

→ netsh advfirewall reset

→ ipconfig /flushdns

→ ipconfig /release

→ ipconfig /renew

Restart your computer

After restarting, check if you can activate your product.

If the problem persists, please contact Kaspersky technical support.
