Hi,

If I may ask a few questions.

- Is it safe to use Kaspersky?

- When Windows starts, when does Kaspersky start the signature updates?

- How often are signature updates and how often are they checked?

- Does Kaspersky have a complete dark theme? In some pictures, I still see bright windows.

- How much of an impact does Kaspersky have on the system? In some tests it doesn't look bad.

- Does Kaspersky have a notification category where all activities are listed?

- How are program updates applied? By restarting the PC or during ongoing operation, where Kaspersky is even closed?

- Does the browser extension also work with Brave and Vivaldi?

- Is there a media control and are external data storage devices scanned?

- Is the system scanned continuously?

- Does Kaspersky also check emails via Outlook/Thunderbird for viruses? Also via extension?

- Are web mailboxes also checked?

- Can the uninstallation also be secured with a password?

- When you install Kaspersky, is anything else installed besides the main program?

- Is Kaspersky 32 or 64bit?

- Are there many false reports?

- When I look at the tests, Kaspersky always performs well. Does Kaspersky do anything fundamentally different from its competitors?

- Regarding the conflict, is there a possibility that it will be banned in Europe as well?

I hope it is not too much. 😄

Approx 15 minutes after windows starts

It is set to automatic mode. Runs every 2 hours. If it is needed then downloaded and updated. Sometimes virus definition are updated 5x per day, sometimes 2x.

Dark theme is also available. Don't know which pictures you mean are bright.

Yes automatically scanned if you insert USB stick for example.

In version MR18 was Anti-spam module. Which works perfectly. But in MR19 is removed this feature. Other feature will protect your spam or it is on outlook.

Every webmail have own Antivirus scanner. So Kaspersky doesn't scanning your mails in web browser. If you download attachment then it will check it by file-Antivirus. Or if you go to dangerous website web-antivirus block it and notify you

Yes settings can be secured by password.

No. Only if you want additional Kaspersky VPN and Kaspersky password manager. Your choice.

The GUI interface it's in x86, but it works properly with x64 systems:

Only works in Brave, if You rename Brave.exe to Chrome.exe, but You will have to perform the renaming in every Brave update, not support for now for Opera or Vivaldi.

Yes, currently we are in version MR18a, but already in beta stage MR19, that will be released probably in weeks, or next month... You can install the new MR19 overwriting MR18, or You will get the update automatically (but this may take longer), and yes, during the updated system is rebooted and Kaspersky closed, so Windows Defender would be automatically re-enabled in such cases.

From what I can tell, I think Vivaldi is also Chromium based like Brave, so the browser extension could still work if you install from the Chrome extension store. I've never used Vivaldi, but if it uses the same browser extension store as Chrome or Brave, you should be alright.

Here is my script to rename Brave.exe to Chrome.exe automatically, might be able to modify it for Vivaldi too if it's required

To rename Brave in Chrome i use a file bat:

rem Brave to CHROME.bat
rem *********************

DEL "C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\CHROME.EXE"

COPY "C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\BRAVE.EXE" "C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\CHROME.EXE"

exit
