@borkduck When you lose your internet connection can you please try out these commands :

Run CMD > type “ipconfig /renew” (without quotes)

Run CMD > type “netsh winsock reset” (without quotes)

Then check your connection  as follows:

Run CMD > type “ipconfig /all” (without quotes)

Berny,

Problem is, I DO have an internet connection when this happens. But for some reason both firefox/IE give that message. Anyway, I just uninstalled the 21.1.15.500 update, re-installed my old version. No problems now.

I do wish that it wasn’t still so common to see the old saw about software designers re-affirmed:

‘If it ain’t broke, BREAK IT!’

Thanks for the response,

bd

KIS pushed version21.1.15.500 to me 9/8/2020. This AM pushed ver. 21.1.15.500 (b) to me. Ever since computer has been wonky. Firefox/IE browsers freeze, say I don’t have internet connection (though I do) have to close/reopen to continue; often have to re-boot machine to continue. Happening ever since push of version 9/8/202. Anyone?
