  1. Thank you for posting back, and the information, I really appreciate it. OK, here goes. Google (Chrome) browser is not available via Windows store. It’s an app just called Google. It functions as a limited browser, just like the cell phone app. What other browsers are installed for both you & your son’s account? Chrome and Edge, but I have no problems with them. How is KTS Updating installed applications configured? By default settings. It asks for permission before updating. I update manually. How is KTS Trusted Applications configured? By default settings. I just change restrictions status for Microsoft Store and apps downloaded from Store, but the restrictions lift for some reason after a short time (2 weeks or so). How is Protection against ads to install only desired software and block additional installations I am not sure what you mean by this. I do use Kaspersky’s ad blocker on Chrome. Do you also use Windows, Parental Control, Web Filtering & Activity Reporting? Yes, I do. Please post a KTS, Application Contol screen, showing only the “blocked” apps/, to get this: in the Application Control screen, the 🔎 search field, upper right corner of KTS window, type in the app names & or Microsoft, When I typed only Microsoft, nothing was blocked, but when I typed Store, it shows as per the attached JPG. Windows Updates, how is Recommended Updates configued Auto-update. Having it otherwise prevents installation of GamePassUlitimare games for some reason. Windows Updates, how is Who can install updates configured? They are set to AutoUpdate for all users. Thank you for taking the time to help.
  2. Please tell me: (Windows) operating system name? version? & build? Windows 10.0.19632 KTS version? & patch(x)? x=letter KIS 19.0.0.1088(i)Both can be found by opening KTS application, select headset, Support window has the information. & Do you (also) use Kaspersky Safe Kids? No, I do not. If "yes", what KSK version please? & Are you trying to use KTS-PCtl to block access to Microsoft Store, to prevent a child accessing the store? If “yes”, please also provide the (child) device information please? Yes and No. It for my child who has his own profile, and I do not want him to access pornography. He uses my desktop with his own Microsoft profile, but Microsoft Store is still available there. It is also for myself as I have an online gambling issue. I have accountability software installed, and I ultimately want everything to be accountable. Microsoft Store apps, especially browsers and Google’s browser app on the store are invisible in terms of which websites they visit. This is why I want to block them.
  3. I am trying to use Trusted Applications Mode to block Microsoft Store because Parental Controls do not work on apps that are from Microsoft Store. Kaspersky provides, as far as I can see, no way to restrict the startup of such apps permanently. While it does allow Trusted Applications Mode to block Microsoft Store, sooner or later, the blocked apps are accessible again, and I have no idea why. Perhaps they are unblocked when updated, but whatever the reason, Microsoft Store and any of its downloaded apps can only be blocked for an uncertain amount of time. I have tried making sure they are set to Untrusted and making sure they have no internet access, but sure as night turning to day, they are eventually able to run again as if I had never blocked them. This is frustrating. Can anyone suggest a way to permanently block Microsoft Store?
