  1. After a relative long time being fairly synchronised time was now 22 (!!) minutes behind this morning... The only thing I changed was disabling 'location' on my phone (because something is eating my battery and I don't know what). Time gets out of sync during the day too, up to 10 minutes (which is annoying if you visit a store that is about to close). No-one else have any idea? If time is out of sync, GPS-apps might be off too? (speed, location).
  2. Time was synchronous for about 10 days, but yesterday I activated WiFi for internet, this morning time was out of sync 3 minutes (3 minutes behind). It's the only thing I did differently with the phone last week, before time changed again. I then make a call, and time immediately synchronizes with the service provider. Still don't know how to fix this other than making a call every day...
  3. Every now and then I find out something new about this problem: It is mentioned by numerous people on Android phones, different brands, different networks. In my specific case, the phone will sync as soon as I call someone. I tested this yesterday and this morning, as soon as I hit the 'call' button, time syncs. Time is sent by the network provider, my Android version 11 has no option to disable time-zone, only network time. Someone mentioned on Vodafone forum that their Motorola had a problem with user accounts not being able to correctly identify on the Vodafone network, but nothing was resolved, only to disable network time... A possibility might be that AV software shields identity or other info from the network, and disabling network sync, or a more broader possibility is that the phone goes into eco-mode and doesn't periodically sync with network (I don't use the phone much and hardly ever use internet on it). A French website for Android mentioned that the problem lies in Time Zone, switching from one to another creates problems, but I don't travel abroad, and don't live near borders. A Vodafone/Motorola user mentioned he has 4 phones, 3 of them have the same sync problem. Only his youngest son has no problems. Older people might have more than one account, using more than one email address on their phone using different servers in different time zones. Younger people often have just one account that connects everything, or maybe just an email address of their ISP (located in their home country with local time). No forum posts I have read thus far mentioned AntiVirus as probable cause, but it is safe to say that just about everyone with a smartphone has some sort of AV on it.
  4. Hello, I have Kaspersky Internet Security with VPN on my Cat S62 Pro phone. Almost every morning the time is wrong. Time shifts up to 10 minutes, which means the first appointment of the day could be 10 minutes too late ? I have an alarm clock that reads for instance 8:29 in the morning and is set to go off at 8:30, but all my other clocks (PC, TV, other clocks) then would read something like 8:35. As soon as I stop the alarm and make a phone call, network time synchronizes and all clocks read the same time. I have contacted Catphones.com support for a solution, they said it could be a third party app. I have only a few non-stock Android apps. Running the phone in safe mode resolved the problem, or at least, time was correct for two days. Then I had to reconnect to the internet and thus had to reboot in normal mode. I can't really test safe mode for longer. I had a similar problem with my previous phone, a Cat S60, running also Kaspersky, but without VPN. That phone would sometimes run up to an hour late during the day.... Catphones said they were sorry that a third party app caused problems with the phone and basically said it isn't their problem. Searching the internet I found a similar problem with one of their other products: Motorola phones running Android on a Vodafone telephone network. That problem was resolved by contacting Vodafone support who contacted Motorola support, something to do with phone registration on the network. Motorola is a product from the same company. Is this a problem caused by Kaspersky software preventing proper registration on the Vodafone network, or going into sleep mode at night? I have Vodafone, but also KPN. Time problem seems to go away when I call someone but persists every morning...
  5. I now use an old laptop now, after my other started doing weird things. The previous had similar weird problems: I lost admin rights, settings would reset to standard each reboot or restart of program, I lost control over my mediaserver, security cams, some website accounts (FB, Twitter) etc. Opening a video would cause an immediate local shutdown, copying video from a usb drive would erase that drive. After such a shutdown, KAV Internet Security was damaged. I had to reinstall after reboot and it then stopped the system from shutting down, that's how I found out my video player caused the shutdown with a local shutdown command. There were a ton of other weird issues. Even got weird phone calls (phishing) from spoofed non existing numbers and scammers at my door. My car was vandalized several times, same as my gardens. Several random people started stealing from me in places I regularly visited and others act as if they know me. Then, for no apparent reason I started to get severe health issues. I even think my phone has some issues as well, I wasn't able to make a decent picture for a year or so fi and the battery drained twice as fast as usual, KAV doesn't find any issues on it however. So yes, I'm very careful now... Opera's VPN is off. it works, so I'll keep using it in this fashion until I can afford a decent, recent laptop. The one I have now is a Dell Latitude E5500 Win8.1 which oc has its limitations. My phone has Android 6, that prolly has some limitations as well.
  6. Oh sry, Outlook was on the Windows laptop, using Chrome browser. Chrome did not support VPN for Outlook (?), and google gave a 'IP-address not found for Google.com' error (?). Now using Opera. I have not filed for tech support with KAV. Not sure if I will and have to look into other things first. Every time I figure something out, my solution gets counteracted, almost like it is deliberate...
  7. Asked my bank ING again and they said that secure connection (VPN) is unnecessary for safe banking on my smartphone, even on a public WIFI network. It's either that, or I am on their sht-list (or KAV is) and being monitored for some weird reason. I have premium version. Tried everything on the page you've provided. As soon as I stop VPN, I can log in, otherwise it simply doesn't. Browsing websites isn't a problem, just slow at times. Too bad, I purchased VPN for banking, banking is one of the few things it doesn't do. One of me mates told me I should get VPN form banking, apparently he does not have this problem. I've read about issues with a specific phone and provider that didn't work either (Motorola on Vodafone network) that had a specific issue, the phone did not sent right ID-information on logging in. That could also be the case here, but I'll never know. It isn't connected to the same account as my bank's. Asking for the tech support dept of ING is simply denied so I can't get support other than the standard customer service, who give me standard information they just read from a list of standard replies. Nobody knows nothing nowadays, and the people who do are unavailable. Safe to say: Kaspersky VPN works fine, just not for ING banking. I have not yet tried to log in to my account through me laptop's internet connection yet. Edit: I can not log in to my outlook email either btw. Is this also normal? BootResult: network err: Error: NetworkResponseError esrc: StartupData et: ServerError
  8. Hello, I have a VPN on my smartphone, I can login to my bank application if I turn it off, but I can not login when I turn on Kaspersky VPN. I have tried logging in through 4G and through my home WIFI, both refuse. I contacted my bank and they told me it is up to the provider (Kaspersky) to either accept or deny bank connection? Is there a list of banks somewhere that are on your accepted list?
