Will the renewed licence transfer automatically when the old one expires?

I have KIS Internet Security which needs renewing in 18 days so I purchased, downloaded and installed KIS Total Security onto my PC which seems to have worked correctly. However in the Licences page the old software is still active and linked to my devices whilst the new licence is not linked but the days left for it to run have started to count down,

Will the licence transfer automatically when the old one expires or do I need to link the new one manually to my devices
