When I plug in my USB it says "removable drive scan" then doesn't let me use it

Welcome!

1. Is Block the stopping of the scan task checked → image 3? 
2. If you do not wish for USB drives to be scanned at all, toggle Removable drive scan Off → image 4, select Save to apply the change.
