I installed the new version of kaspersky VPN yesterday (because I got an alert to do so) and it worked fine (I think).

but today, it keeps saying "VPN connection is temporarily unavailable".

I restarted the app and the computer. 

I even did 

RunDll32.exe InetCpl.cpl, ResetIEtoDefaults

according to this guide https://support.kaspersky.co.jp/ksec-for-windows/5.23/troubleshooting/13493#block3

(FYI, I'm using firefox)

and restarted the app and the computer. 

but it's still not fixed
