I have a license for KIS 20, which has 279 days left, today KIS was updated to version 21 and did not pick up this license, when I tried to activate with this key, an error occurred that the key is not suitable for this version of the program, is this normal? If so, how to prevent the antivirus from being updated from version 20 to 21, since I have a key for a year.
Now I have uninstalled version 21 of KIS and returned to version 20 in which I have a license, how can I disable updating to the new version?

Hello @S E R G E Y,

Welcome!

Re “an error occurred that the key is not suitable for this version of the program, is this normal?

  • No.

Re “how can I disable updating to the new version?”

  • Not possible, Kaspersky have removed our ability to choose whether or not our software updates; they’ve “automated” the process; there is a registry hack, however, Kaspersky advise any “non-standard” configuration of their software may void the Support contract.
  • Contact Kaspersky Technical Support, on the contacts page, select your location, then select from options: Online Chat (not available all locations), Phone (not available all locations), Submit a request - via your MyKaspersky account.

Thank you🙏
