Having the VPN on (so the program itself ain't the problem) suddenly interfered with SteelSeries GG from starting at all so I decided to disable the VPN from running at startup but turning the setting off does not stop it from running at startup. Also tried using autoruns to check and change it in the registry but to no avail either.

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Can You post the versions of KVPN installed?

I guess You disabled these options:

Indeed, although the second option shouldn't influence anything.

VPN version:
21.19.7.527 (b) 1
Install folder:
5.19

Kaspersky:
21.19.7.527(b)

At this point it's probably been over 2 weeks since, have already reinstalled it multiple times and I am shutting down.

Hum this is very weird, You mean even having KVPN disabled, when You run that app, KVPN auto-connects automatically? 🤔

If you use reboot

will product still auto start at login?

I'm not quite sure what you mean/what exactly you're asking.

Shutting down and starting my pc or using reboot does not differ in results

I've installed it both using the actual install exe and through Kaspersky. I use IObit Uninstaller which should make sure that there are no directly related residual files or any registry things left and then restarting the system before doing anything else.
